• NC Department of Commerce.
• NC State Demographics
• ePodunk.com
• Alleghany Rural Data Bank page on the NC Rural Center Website.
• The US Census. The site contains a good snapshot of the county information. Just chose Alleghany from the “Select a county” drop-down menu.
• County financial information (tax revenue and local expenditures) information as well as more links is supplied by the NC Treasurer.
• Capital Impact contains infomation on elected officials and government.
