The US 21 Road Market is always held the last full weekend of July (Friday-Sunday), July 28-30th, 2017. The Road Market is a cooperative endeavor in which residents, shopkeepers, restaurants and merchants host hundreds of yard sales, side walk sales, flea markets and community events along US Route 21 and stretches for 100 miles from Harmony, North Carolina to Wytheville, Virginia. The Mountain Soul Music Festival will be held on every last Sunday of the month starting in April until December. Admission is free but donations are appreciated. Join Tom Kellner, New River State Park Camp Host and Fly Fishing Guru for a casting demonstration. Learn the basic set up and use of a fly rod verses a casting rod. Borrow a rod from the park or bring your own. After learning basics: practice, practice practice and you may land a smallie or red eye bass. Good luck and have some Fun at the Park.

A fashion show benefiting Alleghany Memorial Hospital Foundation will take place on Saturday, August 19, 2017 beginning at 11:30 AM located at Old Beau. Tickets are $35.00 and must be purchased in advance. There will be a cash wine bar available.

A FREE Family Movie night is taking place on Sunday, September 3, 2017 beginning at 6:30 PM at Crouse Park. There will be hotdogs, popcorn, mini games, and more! The movie playing will be SING.
