Fly Fishing Demo Promo @ New River State Park

Join Tom Kellner, New River State Park Camp Host and Fly Fishing Guru for a casting demonstration. Learn the basic set up and use of a fly rod verses a casting rod. Borrow a rod from the park or bring your own. After learning basics: practice, practice practice and you may land a smallie or red eye bass.  Good luck and have some Fun at the Park.

Leave it to Beavers @ New River State Park

Join a park ranger to learn about natures “dam builders”…the good…the hazards…and their role in the eco-system of our forests and waterways. There will be a short hike to look at beaver signs. Please bring water, and dress for the weather.
