Third Thursday Night of Each Month – 7:00 pm-8:30 pm –‘Open Mic Night’ (Writers are invited to share their original writing with those attending.) This event takes place the third Thursday night of each month.
Sparta Presbyterian Church will have a Maundy Thursday Service, with Communion, at 6:00 pm on March 29. All are welcome.
Whitehead Community Building in Whitehead will be having their Annual Spring Fundraiser on Friday, March 30th starting at 5 PM. There will be hot dogs, hanburgers, chips, drinks & desserts available for purchase. At 6 PM there will be Bluegrass music, auction & cake walk. At 8 PM there will be a quilt raffle.
All proceeds will go to the Alleghany County Rescue Squad.

Suzanne Zak to Perform at Sparta Presbyterian Church

Suzanne Zak, a pianist and music educator, will present a concert on Saturday, April 14, at
7:00 pm at Sparta Presbyterian Church. Suzanne received her doctorate in Music and Music Education at Columbia University in 2015. As an educator, Suzanne specializes in higher education, music e-learning, teaching online music at Adelphi University in New York and Montgomery County Community College in Pennsylvania. The concert will feature works of Sergei Rachmaninoff and George Gershwin.
The concert is free but donations will be accepted to benefit a community organization. Everyone is welcome.
