Area bands perform on the Crouse Park Stage
Bring a blanket or lawn chair to Crouse Park in Sparta and enjoy live music by area bands performingon the Crouse Park Outdoor Amphitheater most Saturdays from June through Labor Day weekend. There is no charge to sit back and enjoy or dance on the pad in front of the Crouse Park Stage. The Park is located two blocks behind the Courthouse. Turn north on NC 18/East Whitehead Street. Crouse Park begins at the corner of the second left. Parking off NC 18 and Cherry Street and in surrounding business lots. Free watermelon is served at most events. Scheduled bands are as follows:
June 1: Crooked Road Ramblers kick off Saturday Music in the Park with great old-time standards..
June 8: Carolina Nights will have you shagging the night away to beach music and oldies.
No music in the park this Saturday, but they are raising the roof at the Alleghany Jubilee
just 2 blocks away on Main Street across from the Courthouse..
June 29: Crouse House Pickers offer a rare Saturday concert.

at Woodruff Field for an evening of music and more.
July 27: Blue Ridge Mountain Fair presents music and craft vendors all day at Crouse Park.
August 3: Zephyr Lightening Bolts serve up old time moutain music.
August 10: RainJacket performs The Oldies.
August 24: Locals Kerry Martin, Marla Shaw, Linda Miller, Kevin Bennett, Eric Bennett, and Gene Cromeens make up the band 5PLAY. They play various types of music; favorites from past and present including anything from Lynyrd Skynyrd to Adele.
August 31: Fight Hunger with Fried Pies. One of the premier local bands, Frieds Pies, plays all the classic rock hits in the fundraiser for Solid Rock Food Closet. No admission is charged, but donations are appriciated.
